Improvisation
up as you go along. This term is usually used in the context of music or theater. In music, jazz and Bluegrass are well-known for using improvisation. It features in many kinds of traditional music, including flamenco, Carnatic music, Pygmy and other African music, and was once an important element in classical music (see cadenza and figured bass). Improvisation can be structured, with certain rules constraining the improvisation (for example, "make up a song about bicycles", "use these chord changes", and so on), or can have no such constraints (free improvisation). A growing number of contemporary composers are requiring a greater degree of improvisation in their music, including Pauline Oliveros, Terry Riley, and Christian Wolff. Music of the Czech Republic
Music of the Czech Republic The traditional music of the Czech Republic has been well-documented as a result of the work of composers like Leos Janacek, Antonin Dvorak and Bohuslav Martinu, who recorded and utilized national sounds in their compositions. Undoubtedly the most internationally famous form of Czech folk music is Bohemian polka. Polka was a dance in duple time that became popular across Europe in the 19th century and spread across the world, influencing music from Mexico to Japan. Modern Bohemian music is most innovative in Chodsko, where bagpipes are common. Moravian folk music is best-known for the cimbalom, which are played in ensembles that also include double bass, clarinet and violins. Moravian regions include foreign influences, especially Valachia and its Romanian history, and Lachia

The tune became very well known not only in the United States but internationally; in 1841 the USA ambassador to Central America, John Lloyd Stephens, wrote that upon his arrival in Merida, Yucatan the local brass band played "Jump Jim Crow" under the mistaken impression that it was the USA's national anthem. With time Jim Crow became a term often used to refer to African Americans, and from this the laws of racial segregation became known as Jim Crow laws. The expression to jump Jim Crow came to mean "to act like a stereotyped stage caricature
